Apparently not.  I remember that some time ago there was a list member
who did a somewhat similar setup for a school.  The subject I think was
something about WWWOFFLE and UUCP since he wanted to get the files into
the cache via some form of "sneaker net".  I might want to do that at
least to a certain extent as well.

OK, just wanted to check, it would have made things much easier.  Of
course, you are right, IP number does not equal user.  But in my setup
there will be a one-to-one relationship.

I'll probably do the master copy nonetheless for making the
"UUCP/sneaker net" part easier.  Being able to get just a bit more
security as you pointed out is also not negligible although quite
certainly this is still not a very secure setup.  I will brief the users
accordingly to not leave their bank account statements ;-) or other
things in the cache but use their normal dialup procedure for things a
bit more private.
