Orphans are orphans, it does not matter where the links are, within
one domain or between domains, there will be orphaned pages left in
the cache.

I think that the best way to keep the size of the cache down (if you
cannot spare the disk space) is to set a purge age. This can be
different for different domanis, but setting an age and then using the
purge feature will remove files that you don't look at.
