It appears that my update of the Opera browser from Linux Opera 7.5 to Linux Opera 8.0 broke the namazu search scripts that are part of WWWOFFLE. The indexing script (wwwoffle-mknmz-full) still works perfectly, but the search routine (wwwoffle-namazu)- which also worked perfectly in Linux Opera 7.5 - is now broken. Not only in the upgraded Linux Opera 8.0 but also in the unchanged mozilla and when invoking "namazu" from the console; e.g.:
,---- | [EMAIL PROTECTED] namazu]# namazu -f ./conf/namazurc Zassenhaus ./db | Results: | | References: [ Zassenhaus: 0 ] | | No document matching your query. `---- ... which is incorrect. Documents that refer to "Zassenhaus" can readily be retrieved from the WWWOFFLE cache. It is not an "incorrect permissions" problem; running the above query as "root" shows. The following output - which indicates the files that namazu is using - may contain a hint: ,---- | [EMAIL PROTECTED] namazu]# namazu -f ./conf/namazurc -C | Loaded rcfile: /etc/namazu/namazurc | Loaded rcfile: ./conf/namazurc | -- | Index: /var/cache/wwwoffle/search/namazu/db | Logging: on | Lang: en_AU:en_US:en_GB:en | Scoring: tfidf | Template: /var/cache/wwwoffle/search/namazu/db | MaxHit: 10000 | MaxMatch: 1000 | EmphasisTags: <strong class="keyword"> </strong> `---- Is the problem terminal?
