Hi Mark,

Well, welcome back. I hope it was a holiday somewhere nice rather than
something less pleasant.

I'm not sure you'd like one of my videos, they're all rather gruesome
medical examinations from my partner who is a surgeon!

Anyhow, I'll see what I can do tomorrow (Wednesday).

I have some definite progress and a growing list of to-dos.

How on earth did you work out the need for an

        $event->Veto

At the end of video. It's exactly right, but rather counter intuitive.
Anyway it should go into the Wx::Demo examples as well.

Regards

Steve

Steve,

Apologies for leaving you to it over the past 2 weeks.

I think your issues are probably not related to changes in the Wx /
Alien source.
For example, the change from svn 3083 to 3084 is just 4 lines in
Alien::wxWidgets that makes the default install for 64 bit Mac OSX
version 2.9.2.

Could you send me an example of a media file that you can play to some
degree at least in the wxWidgets samples on Linux and let me know the
version on wxWidgets you managed to get this running on.

I will then take a look at the build process for Ubuntu 11.04 and see if
I can determine and fix the basic build problems.

Regards

Mark
