Hi and thanks to all who responded. I'm afraid we didn't come up with a good fix, because we found a good alternative first. X2Go, which I believe was forked from the same base as NX originally, has worked for us without any issues and unfortunately we're a little too close to deadline for the spirit of inquiry to push us any further down the NX path.
