I downloaded and installed the MacPorts version. I attempted to run the
"install xorg-server" command that the process indicated but I received the
following:

CharlesImac:~ charles$ install xorg-server
usage: install [-bCcpSsv] [-B suffix] [-f flags] [-g group] [-m mode]
               [-o owner] file1 file2
install [-bCcpSsv] [-B suffix] [-f flags] [-g group] [-m mode]
               [-o owner] file1 ... fileN directory
       install -d [-v] [-g group] [-m mode] [-o owner] directory ...
installed

What am I missing?

I deleted the Xquartx server, logged out and logged back in. When I tried the
ssh -X command the MacPorts version started up. (yay) However, it did not set
the DISPLAY environment variable on the remote host (sigh).

So I had to disable it, dig XQuartz out of the trash, logout and login to get
the XQuartz version working. Is there a method to control which Xserver is
invoked by an ssh -X command that doesn't require trashing/disabling one
version and bringing back the other one, then logging out and back in?
