Our doc writer is already aware of the problem,  it's just that he's been
busy with the latest Xalan Java release.  The correction should be posted
sometime soon.

Agreed: this code sample is well overdue for repair. I might even take a
whack at correcting it, except that I'm uncertain how the HTML
documentation
works under Xalan. Do I just grab the HTML, edit it by hand, and send it
back to you?
