http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=6463 Severe Performance problems (Memory + Time taken) compared to SAXON [EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |FIXED ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2002-03-27 15:56 ------- I'm going to tentatively close this bug. With the redundent expression elimination code that was just checked in we see a 4x performance improvement on the submitted test. Also Joe has done significant work to reduce memory usage by DTM RTFs (though there is still a bug on this). It's still not as fast as Saxon. After repeated experements, my best guess right now is that this is mainly due to state tracking... though the causes turn out to be spread out in various places and I keep thinking I have the smoking gun, and turn out to be wrong. Anyway, hopefully the recent changes are enough to reduce the report from "severe".
