Hi! I have been using Xalan 2.1.0 and I have a couple of questions about
the changes made in Xalan 2.2.0.

1.) In xalan 2.1, when you have compiled translets in a jar file, you can
just load the translets and get a transformer by casting the translets to
javax.xml.transform.Transformer. Now that this heirarchy is gone, are we
expected to use AbstractTranslet.transform( ) for our transformations?

2.) I've been reading about TrAX and Translets and I got the sense that
Templates can be used to map to Translets. I have figured out how to
assign Translets to Templates but only by compiling my XSL on the fly.
There doesn't seem to be a mechanism to allow me to "tell" a Template
object "here is the compiled AbstractTranslet class that you're supposed
to work with". Is there a way to currently do that right now?

Thanks a bunch for your help!

Cheers;
Peter
