Possibly, as root, chmod 4555 /usr /local/bin/xastir ? Gale KC4PL
when I do that I get "hard fail on interface 1" messages. My file is
/usr/share/xastir in this case. I guess Ubuntu folks load stuff different than
the rest of the world.
