Dear Jrgen,

The folder managment in v2.1 appears to overcome the problem I have
reported up to now, i.e. the apparent loss of emails. Although I have
upgraded my linux box, I can still reproduce the problem with the v2.0.x
versions.

But I've noticed something which I have seen before, but not reproducably
(until now)

If I copy a folder "received" into the ARCHIV, all is now well as to number
of emails. I close xcmail, then restart it. It will not restart.

I have to delete the file "received" in the ARCHIV directory, and it's
associated dot file, then xcmail will restart.

The reason appears to be that all files in the ARCHIV directory must have
the .gz suffix, otherwise xcmail does not start.

If I do the above, but then rename the file in the ARCHIV received.gz
using the folder controller before I quit, all is well for future starting of
xcmail.

I did ask once before why files copied or moved to the ARCHIV directory
did not automatically gain a .gz extension, but it seems now that it has
to be done manually in the Folder controller in order to start xcmail the
next time!

All the above tests were done on the same files that caused problems of
number of emails in the file when it was moved to the ARCHIV.

Regards,

David Pilgram
