I am starting to experiment with the new stable vers. 6 from Max.
Three questions.
Running it in SIM mode on my PC it comes up in landscape mode. Since I
use it on my iPaq in Portrait mode, is there a way to change the
orientation on the PC?
Yes. Create a link to the application and add " -portrait" after the
"XCSoar.exe".
Also on the PC, I get no map or terrain even though I specified the
same file I am currently using on the iPaq. I will check again to be
sure I did not make a mistake but am I missing something here? Is it
because there is no gps signal?
Where did you copy the files?!
On the PC or iPaq, in sim mode, is there a way to get the glider into
thermalling mode to explore the options in that mode?
Not yet, but we're working on it... You could however configure XCSoar
to show the Heading infobox, click on it and press and hold left or
right... Isn't pretty but works somehow.
