I have been playing with XCSoar on my Android HTC Hero on a few flights I have
made. The map and landable fields work great. There are a few bugs I have
found with info boxes and airspace which I have input to the tracker.
The feature I would like to see working the most is the logger. I have been
using an app called Gaggle for logging so far. It is handy to be able to jump
in a glider unprepared and have a logger. The Gaggle program is not approved
by the OLC however and my flights come up grey. I look forward to being able
to use XCSoar and having my trace coming up valid. To conserve power on my
phone I have put the phone in Airplane mode and run Gaggle in the background
with the screen off (like using a black box). I think this kind of
functionality would be great in coming versions of XCSoar (XCSoar seems to stop
running if you turn off the screen right now).
CheersChris
