Nic,
The approval for the EW loggers specifies the Garmin GPS units which are
approved. That list is up to date and the others mentioned will not be
acceptable. Have a word with an OO in your club, he/she will have access to the
information and, at the end of the day, they have to be satisfied that your
claim is valid.
I think the original setup of the EW loggers used a 'word' in the NEMA sentence
for the date and time which was only used in certain Garmin GPS units. For the
trace to be acceptable that has to appear in the record.
Regards
Andy Bardgett (OO)

Thanks,
I did look at this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Garmin-GPS-18-OEM-LVC-Receiver-Used-/190512268153?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_GPSSystems_GPSSystems&hash=item2c5b6a8379#ht_561wt_906
which looks similar to the one Janos just mentioned
http://cgi.ebay.com/Garmin-GPS35-PC-TracPak-GPS-Receiver-Antenna-/190511715993?pt=GPS_Devices&hash=item2c5b621699
in that is is just a receiver, but i don't see either of listed on the
EW approved page here
http://www.ewavionics.myzen.co.uk/products/d-logger/ModelDhtml/section4.html
Is it safe to assume any garmin branded receiver will be acceptable
and its just that the EW list is out of date?
