Hi Steve,

have you tried to record NMEA "raw log"? Turn it on via Config -> Config -> 
Config -> Raw Logger.
Try to 'record' the 'disconnection' and also next reconnect. You could also 
write down date and time, when you have start the logger and when the 
disconnect / reconnect occured in order to match this events to the particular 
lines from log.

You should find recorded log in the XCSoarData directory. Then, try to post it 
here, maybe someone from the developers could confirm or refute that the 
problem is on the XCSoar's site...
