Ian, are you using a level shifter (RS232 to logic level) to interface the IOIO with the B500 and the FLARM?
Do you have GND wired up between all the components? Preferably a star like connection between the IOIO, B500, FLARM, ground wire. Just want to eliminate the simple stuff before digging into S/W. I remember someone said there is a switch to turn on logging all which comes from the input device(es). If the above fails, you can turn it on and see what the last entries look like.
