Nope, the build is clean, cuz i just moved my old build aside (for safekeeping), checked out and built without problem. Must be something on your end.
Make sure that you are building under JDK1.4, that your JAVA_HOME is set appropriately, and that you have the latest Ant 1.5 installed and set up on your PATH. You also need to have built xjavadoc and have it as a peer directory to xdoclet, at least to use the build.properties as they come out of CVS (I didn't have to make any changes to this on windoze, anyway...) I've also been superstitiously setting ANT_HOME, some builds use it, not sure if xdoclet needs it or not.
