Mark pointed out privately that 'kstat xnbo' in dom0 might provide some useful information.
After that you would need to learn about the Solaris kernel debugger (kmdb) and dtrace which can be used together with a copy of the driver source code. It's not something you could do in an evening, but a few days would have you making some progress.
