Finally, i realised the reason of failure to retrieve installation image from
remote HTTP Mirror for F12 or Debian Lenny . I still have RGE driver in OSOL
2010-02-124 Dom0. Hence , to to be able issue HTTP request from linux DomU i
have previously to disable checksum offloading :-
# ethtool -K eth0 tx off
what is obviously impossible when running either
# virsh create start-up-fedora.xml ( start-up-debian.xml)
or just attempting to virt-install with remote --location http://../../..
This issue doesn't come up when local Apache is set up at Dom0 , having
lofiadm'ed ISO image
mounted on corresponding htdocs's subfolder.
RTL 8110SC PCI Gigabit Etnernet is still unacceptable for the most recent OSOL
build.
I believe corresponding CR is about 2 years old now.
