1. I don't consider F12 and Ubuntu 9.10 Server as a hell for Xen 3.4.3, 4.0 2. Oracle VM x86_64 i believe is based on outdated Xen implementation on RHEL Xen 3.1.2, Kernel 3.0.3. Hard to say how long they will be happy with that config (Linux) Solaris 11 with xVM 3.4.2 would mean relatively painless moving Oracle VM to Solaris 11. Servers consolidation - Solaris 11 PV guests, each one running 11g instance, utilizing Zvols as data storage for oracle's data files. The cut of the edge technology been tuned for about 20 years. Oracle advertising policy really seems strange.
