xerces-c and mac os x

has anyone done any work to build xerces-c underneath mac os x? (there 
doesn't appear to be a bsd build to derive that work from, either) i 
didn't see mention of it in the faq or in the outdated archives but i 
thought i'd ask to save myself the effort if anyone had done so 
privately.
