Kevin,
the Xerces-C website has the essential information for doing a
port. Check out the following link:
http://xml.apache.org/xerces-c/build-misc.html#faq-4

The instructions there are quite straightforward and the code design
neatly isolates all platform- and compiler specific code into the
Compilers and Platforms subdirectories under util.

One thing that the website does not mention (AFAIK) is that you need
to modify configure.in and run autoconf (or hack configure yourself,
should you lack autoconf at your site) if you create a new directory
under Platforms. This ensures that a Makefile gets generated there
when you start runConfigure.

Good luck!
Regards,
 Martin.

VxWorks or really just porting Xerces in general) I would be happy if
they would share any information with me. I can be mailed directly if
you would feel that it would clutter the list etc.
