http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=12369 invalid output from DOMWriter using MemBufFormatTarget [EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|REOPENED |RESOLVED Resolution| |FIXED ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2002-10-01 18:30 ------- Dean, Yes, I have a admit that i had smiliar idea as well, but unfortunately, the XML specs REQUIRES this: [10] AttValue ::= '"' ([^<&"] | Reference)* '"' | "'" ([^<&'] | Reference)* "'" It explicitly says that '<', or '&' is not allowed in the AttValue, unless the character reference is used, while '>' need not. Any way, as long as the output from the XMLWriter is a valid document, we may ignore this INCONSISTENCY for now. Please close the bug, thanks.
