My errors seem to be related to ID/IDREF. It might be related to [Bug 2186] which was fixed a week ago according to Sandy Gao's email. I will try to compile CVS version and see if it takes care of the problem

Thank you for submitting your test xml docs. I briefly tested your sample
using XercesJ 1.4, the latest cvs extract, on a single processor win2k
machine with the sun jdk 1.3 but was not able to reproduce the error. We
will take a closer look at it next week.

Thank you very much for your reply. I did not mean to complain, sorry if I
sounded bitter. It was another bug/enhancement request (JAXP related)
submitted by me which has been discussed but never addressed (I offered my
help with it) and was sitting unopened for months. I understand that your
resources are not bottomless. Do you think it might be a good idea to open
bug and set its status (open/deferred/as designed/could not reproduce etc.)
even if you can not work on it right now. I believe submitting bugs is
important and it will help people to see what is going on with the bugs
they submit.
I wish I could post a patch but threading problems are very hard to debug
for an outsider.
The code sample I provided is quick and dirty test and yes I did not set
error handler but the xml files I used should be valid. They have been in
production with Xerces 1.2.x, ant then 1.3.x and whole infrastructure has
been tested (with error handlers set of course) under heavy stress. In fact
this the same little test works fine with version 1.3.1
I am using dual processor computer (might it make any difference?)

I was testing your sample code for defect 1965 against XercesJ 1.4 and
noticed that with an invalid xml, the same and not random errors were
repeatedly reported a random number of times. Also noticed that you were
not setting an error handler in your code. However was not able to
reproduce this with a valid xml. Could you please send us a valid xml that
causes this problem so that we can look into it?

How about bugs which has been reported months ago and nobody touched them
at all ;-)?
It even has sample code to reproduce the problem
One bug I reported, is a real show stopper for migrating to from 1.3.1 to
1.4

How are you querying Bugzilla? There have been more than a dozen schema
bugs reported (and mostly all fixed) there and the query feature works for
us...
As to your errors: If they haven't been reported yet, please file a bug in
bugzilla. It'll get done faster if you supply a small test case that we
can use to duplicate the problem, but it'll never get fixed at all if it
hasn't been reported. :-)

I for one would like to see this - is there a list of fixes to date?
I've tried the querying Bugzilla, but that only reports a single bug for
CVS (which has been resolved).
(I ask this 'cause I built from CVS but the errors I'm seeing remain)
