There is no problem with my dvi viewer, my dvi viewer displays it correctly and I can get it to display correctly in pdf if I use the dvi->ps->pdf route. However, I can't do that in xetex, and my question was whether it is possible.

So you're saying that if you compile the document and view the resulting pdf, (not dvi) the results are different? The only difference I see is that the orientation of the pages is different. (Not sure what causes that).

Is this the difference you're seeing?
