Heya.. I've been having fun with my PCI Radeon
7000.. and have played around with things..
even tried putting in new kernel dependencies.. but
my computer would still lock up and have no valid display. I looked
around and found this set of questions on the web:
I commented out
(to keep the old option handy)
Option "AGPMode "True"
and put in
Option "ForcePCIMode" "True"
and now my display shows up fine.
Unfortunately, though the display now works with
the glx
option enabled, a
friend told me that the glx still may not be
loading right.. since when I try the games that need 3D
support, they still jerk like crazy and are, thus, basically
unplayable.
Hope this helps some of you..
Now if I can just figure out how to get the
acceleration working :)
