I would propose to try to use it then as 8500LE. This should be possible with configuring it to use the radeon driver. Specify then ChipID 0x514c in Device section of XF86Config. If this works, we can easily add the Device ID of your Radeon 9100 chip to the radeon driver. Anyway, the Device ID will be useful for us. "lspci -n" should help here.
