Kimbro: you have been doing the releases until now. Are you available for this scheduled plan? All: who is available to help with 1.1 documentation?I'll do what I can to help, but I'm a little over committed right now so I don't have a lot of cycles to dedicate.
Basically what we need is the material release: putting the right files where they belong, mailing the announce, updating freshmeat and so on. I think that you are the only one with access to daedalus, so you should be the only one that can do this job ATM.
If you tell me what tasks need to be done, I'll make the time to do them. I just can't coordinate the release as I have in the past. Of course, you're already doing that so I guess it's OK. :-)
If you are over committed and don't have time, we should figure out someone to be able to make releases (this should a good idea nevertheless: I think that it's reasonable to have at least two people with "release karma"). I think that in case this "honor" should go to Vladimir, who did a terrific job in keeping this community alive in the latest months, but if someone wants to volunteer, step up now. :-)
I agree and that was actually my hope for this release. Anyway, it seems all the dist building ant tasks that I used to use have been replaced. Unfortunately, it also looks incomplete to me. Can anyone confirm the status?
