I put crimson.jar (1.1.3) in j2sdk1.4.1_01\lib\endorsed directory, and
removed external Xerces jar files. Both of building and executing (no RPC)
work fine. But Vladimir's tests will have final say.

Well the quickest way to find it out is to try :-)  I will commit some
tests for the XPath and XUpdate services this week-end so with the
available unit and integration tests, you can quickly figure out what's
working and what's not.
