I need some help, please, to clear the fog in my head. I have installed
Xindice 1.0, started the server and done some testing from command line,
and have looked into the collection's .tbl file for curiosity and to
improve my understanding of things (one thing that surprised me was that
the same dtd was copied in for each of the documents?).

Then I have retrieved the CVS version and built it (following Tom
Dyson's instructions at http://torchbox.com/xml/xindice/xindice.html). I
have started Tomcat, run some commands from command line and looked at
the contents of the db in the browser. But - I cannot find a file
corresponding to the .tbl file in version 1.0, where is it?

Then I have built the Addressbook app and copied it to Tomcat. But where
is the db, that the app is supposed to run on? In the Addressbook README
it says in point 5: "Make sure Xindice is running, follow the INSTALL
instructions to start it if it isn't." But the INSTALL is for version
1.0 and I have understood that there is no server in version 1.1, so
what does it mean that Xindice is running?

And something is wrong in my setup, because from
"http://localhost:8080/Addressbook/index.jsp"; clicking List Contacts I
get the exception saying that the collection addressbook could not be
found, where is it supposed to be? What is the step that I seem to have
missed?

Hoping for some help,

Gert Schmeltz Pedersen
