Then I have retrieved the CVS version and built it (following Tom Dyson's instructions at http://torchbox.com/xml/xindice/xindice.html). I have started Tomcat, run some commands from command line and looked at the contents of the db in the browser. But - I cannot find a file corresponding to the .tbl file in version 1.0, where is it?
the database is created where you started Tomcat (I know it's not optimal). You can change the location of the database by editing the web.xml file found in the webapps/Xindice/WEB-INF.
