But on Linux ? you have to use command line instructions and CVS seems only
to be the lowlevel environnment

There is even an easier way.... If CVS was used for source code control,
clients can be downloaded and installed from www.wincvs.org . They are
pretty stable and make the use of remote CVS servers on the internet really
easy.
