Hmmm... interesting... this may be an important piece to the puzzle because
I was looking through the
postmaster account and found an error message that reported that this user's
account does not exist (553 was the error code).
I noticed that the user's email was using an older domain we used to use
(which I handle as a custdomain) and that the
user *does* exist in the "real" domain (that receives the mail sent to the
custdomain). So... i'm thinking there might be
some conflict between the "real" account name (which is 'karen') and the
custdomain (which uses the account name 'karen') but
the "maximum tentatives reached" message was for the alias I set up
'kfields' for the "real" domain.

oh my... i think my head is going to explode.

Here's a summary...

[EMAIL PROTECTED] --> 553 error - user's account does not exist. the
rgbonline.com domain is handled as a custdomain

[EMAIL PROTECTED] is the account that would get mail sent to:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

[EMAIL PROTECTED] is an alias to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (which is
getting the 'maximum tentatives reached' error).

I'll look at this as possible conflict
