does xmail lookup the file everytime a mail comes in or is that cached? but
should not matter because i used ctrl.

in doc it looks like xmail searches for a

..blah.com.tab

but that is wrong as you wrote.

must there be a \r\n in custdom-file ? - i don't think so because it's a
linux machine.
