Greetings, In reviewing my mail server records today, I found that there was a failed SMTP authentication attempt against my server this morning. Now, in and of itself, a failed SMTP authentication attempt doesn't mean anything - could have been any user who has recently changed their mail client settings and got it wrong.
However, to the best of my knowledge, I don't have any clients who would be coming from the Da Qing city department fourth elementary school in China... Is there any way to get more details on what credentials were attempted? All I have right now is the entry in the SMTP log: "karen.arisiasoft.com" "arisiasoft.com" "218.7.157.254" "2003-09-20 05:43:41" "ht-soft" "" "" "" "" "AUTH=EFAIL:TYPE=LOGIN" "" "0" "" Suggestions on where to look would be appreicated.
