Perhaps you can bind the non used services to port 127.0.0.1.

e.g. use tose values XMAIL_CMD_LINE inside xmails init-script

-FI 127.0.0.1 for listening finger only on lo
-CI 127.0.0.1 for control only on lo
-SI 127.0.0.1 for smtp only on lo and so on

-> the services are not visible to outside world...
