Davide, in the case where xmail emits an error - **other than**
smail/smtp/filter/etc log files...  
Where does Xmail write errors like "file missing on return from filter"??

I know in sendmail this is written to the maillog.  In debug mode it might
write to screen, but that information is lost if not seen before it scrolls
off the screen.

I'm just thinking of Filip's bad filter and other possible situations where
Xmail cannot deliver the email - therefore it is not logged to the
individual log files -> there is no additional info available to the person
investigating, without perhaps running a JIT debugger or something.
