In the search for an easy to install lightweight mailserver, I found xmailserver and instantly installed it on my machine without any problems.
The only problem I have with it is its imense virtual memory usage. While its only using about 1.5Mb real ram, the virtual memory size is over 200Mb: 32764 root 18 0 203m 1276 816 S 0 0.1 0:00.07 /var/lib/xmail/bin/XMail This is generally not a big problem because virtual memory doesnt cost anything but i'm using virtualisation through openvz and those 200Mb actually go directly onto my quota and are beeing accounted much like real ram. So I was wondering why this huge amount of "address space" gets reserved and if there is anything that i can do to reduce it. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe xmail" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For general help: send the line "help" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
