1 frame per day seems about right for a rage pro.

Just kidding :) - I wouldn't know, I've never used a rage pro under Linux 
before.

Do you get hardware acceleration in other opengl apps? Like glquake for 
instance?

I could be wrong about this, but I remember reading somewhere that XFree86 4 
doesn't support hardware accelerated opengl for rage pros (or at least it 
didn't at the time). I thought XFree86 3.3.6 had support for accelerated 
opengl with a rage pro, but I'm not really sure about that.
