Hi,
I have just installed Xmame last release (0.57.1) and compiled it.
I've a strange problem with my sidewinder joypad.
First of all some information about my config :
Linux Debian kernel 2.4.17 (with joystick support)
Creative SBLive 5:1
MotherBoard ABIT KT7
the command _jstest_ works fine so it should mean that my joystick is
also working, anyway when i run xmame there is this message and my
joystick isn't recognized :
I386 joystick interface initialization...
OSD: Warning: No joysticks found disabling joystick support
This is the command line i use to run xmame
(i've tried all the type for the joystick) :
xmame.xgl -dp oss -afs -jt 4 -a -nom -as -sf 44100 -jdev /dev/js0 -fsr 1
-fullscreen
i've compiled with (for the joystick) only this line in makefile :
JOY_I386 = 1
I don't understand since 6 months ago, with an old version of xmame,
my joystick was working with the same configuration except it was a
SBLive 1024 without 5:1 so maybe the problem comes from my soundcard.
Thx in advance if anyone knows something about this.
