Or, if the SDL target is used, use the SDL "null" driver !!!???
There has been a similar discussion regarding the Descent 3 dedicated
server's requirement for X in the past (and on another list :)... at that
time, the solution was brought up by someone from Loki who added a "null" or
"dummy" driver to the SDL... but I'm not sure if that would work with
xmame.SDL.
