As an aside, will MESS be syncing up more regularly now that they've also
made the major 0.37b15 -> 0.56 transition? Or is the sync step still
difficult? I ask because I'd like to see more MESS releases; the world
needs to know more about this project...

Note: this is a purely informational question, not in any way intended
to rush people or something; I haven't contributed code in any way, so
if the MESS team is fine with the current policy, fine by me :)
