Yes, I'm very interested in that - it's a very neat idea - and ever since I

I think I was referring to using Xmame on one computer only.  You make a 
valid point - a CD is far more portable than an HD, and lasts a lot longer as 
well.  There's another point: xmame-on-cd doesn't require an HD, does it? 
(i.e. for swap)  If it could be used on an HD-less computer, that means you'd 
have a far quieter system which would use a lot less power - ideal for laptop 
use.

I didn't mean to imply that Xmame is only usable when all of the roms are on 
a hard drive. :)
