Nevermind, I just searched the nvidia-linux bugs-database and found these modelines:
# 1400x1050 @ 60Hz, 65.8 kHz hsync Modeline "1400x1050" 129 1400 1464 1656 1960 1050 1051 1054 1100 +HSync +VSync # 1400x1050 @ 70Hz, 76.8 kHz hsync Modeline "1400x1050" 151 1400 1464 1656 1960 1050 1051 1054 1100 +HSync +VSync # 1400x1050 @ 75Hz, 82.3 kHz hsync Modeline "1400x1050" 162 1400 1464 1656 1960 1050 1051 1054 1100 +HSync +VSync # 1400x1050 @ 85Hz, 93.2 kHz hsync Modeline "1400x1050" 184 1400 1464 1656 1960 1050 1051 1054 1100 +HSync +VSync And they work! Strange though that the modeline that worked with xfree's nv-driver didn't work with nvidia... Anyway, problem solved, all happy! =) // Wigren Friday 21 June 2002 12.45 skrev Per Wigren: > Thursday 20 June 2002 21.05 skrev St: > > You still need modelines for "non" standard resolutions - which to X > > means anything below 640X480. > > Do you know if it works with the NVidia binary drivers also? > With XFree86's nv-driver I can use 1400x1080 (or something like that:) > which is the perfect resolution for my monitor (old Eizo 21"), but with the > nvidia-drivers I'm stuck with either 1280x1024 (too low) or 1600x1200 (too > high)...
