> No rom-begging in this forum please, but because it helps xmame development (and > I think it really DOES!), we should accept a bit of that... I can see why it's wearing on us. I admit when I saw the first message I said "erg, not another one" - but when I looked at the sender, I'm like "ok, someone wants to further xmame" or hell, even "do some testing" is a valid excuse.. Maybe we should basically do this: rom'packs' can be announced from time to time and removed when deemed suitable as Pete recommended, but I think a good thing to do when people request roms in the fashion of "Where can I get roms for teh xmame?" is to reply with "www.google.com". Otherwise, people will just have to go grab the pack from toybox or whatever. If they don't know where it is because they lost the email, they can get private mailed about it, and if they don't know where it is because they're a rom-beggar, they can go use google. This keeps all the talk of begging and etc. to a minimum and lets us talk about more important things, like telling the next guy how to turn on DGA in the Makefile. Just an idea.
