Well, this is RH8 with Metacity and I don't have a lot of choices for
window focus.

"Click to give focus" or "Point to give focus" are it.  I've got it set
for "Click to give focus".

You're right in that it looks like the terminal still has the input focus,
but that doesn't explain why it only happens with -rr but not with -rl in
the (few) games that I've tried, and not with all of those.  pacman and
mspacman are similar but pacman works with -rr and mspacman doesn't.  If
it was a simple focus problem you'd think neither would work.
