Your best bet is to get the xmame source rpm from Matthias Saou's excellent freshrpms.net site. Get it and hit it with a rpmbuild -ba xmame*.src.rpm.Hello. I am a xmame newbie and this is my first time to compile xmame (v0.71.1). This is not easy as I thought. I can't use RPM because I am still using Red Hat Linux 7.2 (compiled Kernel v2.4.20), and I didn't see any latest xmame for my version.
I'm currently running Redhat 8.0 on my home box, and quite happily recompile for each new release.
On freshrpms, xmame is still sitting at 0.70, but I'm sure Matthias will have 0.71 pretty soon ;-)
