check is the permissions on the xmame.x11 executable. In order to use DGA
as a regular user, the executable needs to be owned by root and have its
SUID bit set:
chown root:root xmame.x11
chmod u+s xmame.x11

Thanks to everyone that replied. The tips helped and worked great! I also
wanted to mention that if anyone else is having trouble with DGA full
screen mode, they might want to check their XF86Config file. I have
this line, `Load "extmod"` and under `SubSection "extmod"`, I originally
had: `Option "omit xfree86-dga"` which I commented out.
