Two problems : - The configure script is missing a check for expat development files, as expat.h is required later on. - There seems to be a problem with the mkinstalldirs call from the po/ directory : make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/rpm/BUILD/gxmame-0.35cvs/po' /bin/sh `case "./mkinstalldirs" in /*) echo "./mkinstalldirs" ;; *) echo ".././mkinstalldirs" ;; esac` /var/tmp/gxmame-0.35-0.20041129.1.1.fc3.fr-root/usr/share/bin/sh: .././mkinstalldirs: No such file or directory make[1]: *** [install-data-yes] Error 127 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/rpm/BUILD/gxmame-0.35cvs/po' I remember having the exact same issue with the gentoo file manager's po Makefiles... seems like the setup-gettext script does something funny on Fedora Core 3.
