I basically agree, which was one of the main reasons why I freezed the development of my frontend (qmamecat) about two years ago... it would be nice, if this issue (to cause probable frontend issues...) could somehow be better controlled or maintained... but I believe, as with all open source software projects, if you really want the situation to be changed, step into it and get involved with the development, or find/motivate someone to do it.
